Wednesday evening March 23, 2005 saw some action atop Observatory Hill at the Centre of the Universe interpretation centre.

CU staff were rehearsing operations using the Plaskett telescope for the upcoming season.  David Lee was on a photo mission to shoot publicity shots for brochures and other promotional media for the Centre of the Universe.  RASC Victoria Centre members volunteered to be the models for the photo shoot, bringing with them a large collection of telescopes.  The models willingly mugged for the camera, put up with repeated requests to hold still for the next 30 seconds, and kept their good humour...partly fueled by the free donuts and coffee supplied by the CU staff, and partly due to the rather good seeing when the clouds allowed.

Thanks go to all the RASC volunteers: Bruno Quenneville, Guy Walton, Matthew Watson, Roy Watson, Bill Weir, Jennifer Bigalow, David Griffiths, Brian Robilliard, and Joe Carr.  Thanks also go to the CU staff for their hospitality.
